Canteen & Meal Menu
The Food Hall
At break time we offer a range of snacks and drinks to purchase, which varies on a daily basis. Items include pain au chocolat, popcorn chicken, sausage rolls, hot panini, fruit pots, flavoured milk and water. Prices range from 60p to £1.95
During lunchtime service we currently offer three meal deal options each day of:
- Wrap meal deal
- Grab and go meal deal
- Main meal deal.
Each option offers a vegetarian/vegan option
When students collect their lunch they then select their dessert where there is a variety of items such as fruit pots, yoghurts, Angel Delight, jelly, cookies and various cakes to choose from. A bottle of water is included in the meal deal.
A water station is available during lunch service allowing for water bottles to be refilled.
We aim to serve the students in a professional and friendly environment serving food they enjoy, cooked in a healthy way and produced in a kitchen with the best hygiene standards at all times.
Café6 also caters for staff and sixth form students.
Year 7 students have their own exclusive canteen where they can buy food or eat their packed lunch.

Cashless Catering
Our biometric system is based on fingerprint recognition technology. The system works by taking measurements of the fingerprints, but they do not capture a complete image. This means that the original fingerprint cannot be reconstructed from the data.
The benefits of the system include
- No cash in the dining hall - smoother meal service and has sped up delivery and reduced queues
- Reduced administration through prepayment for meals
- Parents and carers no longer have to worry about finding dinner money each day
- Children with free school meals are anonymous
Payments can be made by credit card or debit card via ParentPay or PayPoint cards which can be ordered by the school. The introduction of ParentPay has assisted with this process as it has direct links to the cashless catering system to automatically top up accounts.
Lunchtimes
The menu is displayed on the website and operates on a two week rota.
Sandwiches may be brought in to be eaten only in the Food Hall or at the picnic tables provided.
There is a water station where refillable bottles can be refilled.
Students are expected to remain on the school premises throughout the lunch break unless they have lunch at home. Parents/carers should request a Lunch Pass Form to be completed and returned to the RSL for consideration. Passes will only be issued to students who are going home. We would ask parents/carers to support us in making sure that students are either in school or at home. During the lunch break there are senior midday supervisors (teachers) on duty.
Should your child leave his/her packed lunch (or any other item for school) at home, you may leave it at Reception for collection. If this is not possible, they should see their RSL.
